In Febraury 2016, the Mannford Board of Education gathered to discuss several questions. First, the 2016-2017 contracts were renewed for Assistant Superintendent Kelly Spradlin, Athletic Director Jason Landrum, Assistant Principals Kyle Genzer and Cory Mitchell, and for Building principals Tim Wright, Brenda Dorsey, Ryan Norman, and Steve Anderson.
Second, the financial report presented by Superintendent Steve Waldvogel was approved. It includes General Fund Encumbrances in the amount of $107,620.92 and change orders in the amount of $32,119.13, Activity Fund transfers, revenue and expenditures.The schools’ principals reported about activities and achievements taking place at their sites.
The Mannford Reporter usually publishes a detailed list of the schools’ most interesting and remarkable activities and achievements under the headline “Did You Know.” Ralph Osborn, an auditor, reported no findings in the 2014-2015 fiscal school year audit. Besides that, the Board of Education approved fundraising for the Choir to have a pancake dinner at McDonalds. Ruth Kelly Studios offers photography services at the Mannford schools for the last several years. Recently, the 2016-2017 contract with the studio was accepted upon the recommendation of Dr. Waldvogel. Also, the schools’ board accepted the resignation of Amy Pennick, who was a librarian aide. A new Pre-K teacher, Tori McCullough, was employed upon recommendation of the schools’ superintendent. The decisions made by the Board of Education in February came to pass in March of this year.
